Environment

Going Greener

MDS made the decision to be “greener” meaning we are doing as much as we can to protect the environment and reduce our carbon footprint.  We have established a committee to advise and recommend strategies that ensure we have the least impact on the environment through our daily activities and use of resources.

MDS has implemented a policy statement which states MDS is committed to continually improving its environmentally friendly best practices throughout our operations and to conduct our business in an environmentally responsible manner.

MDS has set objectives and targets and reviews these annually in order to improve our environmental performance and regularly assesses the environmental impact of our operations.

All of this means we are doing practical things at MDS to reduce our use of paper, energy and introduce recycling initiatives that include:

  • Using only 100% recycled paper for printing
  • Encouraging staff to print documents double sided, wherever possible
  • Implementing paper collection boxes for effective paper recycling at all workstations.
  • Recycling bins for the head office kitchen to cater for drink cans, plastic bottles and glass
  • Recycling waste material at all MDS sites

Our Green Committee encourages service participants and our staff to forward their suggestions as to how MDS can make effective changes towards a greener environment.

Suggestions can be sent to the Green Committee who will ensure all ideas are given a voice at their monthly meetings and can be reached through our head office on 02 4621 8400 or emailing kara.dario@mdservices.com.au

You can keep up to date on our green initatives through our Going Green newsletters:
