			Staff and participants of Macarthur Disability Services recently took part in the World’s Greatest Shave in April / May 2006. Two staff members went under the clippers while others had their heads sprayed in various colours. Their efforts raised close to $300 for programs to assist people with Leukaemia. According to the Leukaemia Foundation, an amount of “$250 provides a family with a tailored counselling and support program for three months”. Participants were proud to be part of such a worthwhile cause and helping the Leukaemia Foundation. Marketing Coordinator Patrick Vasquez said that “MDS staff and participants see the money raised as an important contribution towards finding a cure for leukaemia”. Staff at Macarthur Disability Services are extending a challenge to other businesses and organisations in Macarthur to organise a shave at their workplace and raise more dollars for this very worthy cause.
