Wheelchair Sports / Track Program
In partnership with Wheelchair Sports NSW, this program is open to junior and senior athletes as a pathway for long-term wheelchair sports participation.
The program provides coaching by accredited coaches to all wheelchair athletes with a focus on classifications T51-T54 and F51-F58.
The program operates during school terms from 4-6pm Thursdays at the Campbelltown Athletics Centre.
Cost $5 per session.

Track and Field
Track and Field is a program for people with a disability aged 7-25 years. Participants receive professional coaching in athletics:

Gym Buddies
Gym Buddies will help make getting fit fun for young people with a disability aged 18 to 25 years. The program will provide each participant with training on using a gym and an individual fitness program. All participants will receive three months initial training with a personal fitness trainer.
Gym Buddies provides participants with the opportunity to develop confidence, skills and knowledge in the gym environment whilst achieving their individual fitness goals.
Wheelchair Basketball
Wheelchair Basketball is a fast paced, exciting sport jam packed with thrills and spills. MDS runs this sport for local high schools, for its service participants and for corporate teams in the annual Jamm & Slamm Corporate Wheelchair Basketball Challenge.
It is not only a load of fun - it is also a great mechanism for increasing positive awareness of people with a disability.
Corporate Events or Community Groups can book a 3-hour sessions of Wheelchair Basketball for a nominal fee. Packages include two staff transports, set up/pack down and 1-hour game of wheelchair basketball.

MDS offers high schools the opportunity for their students to participate in Wheelchair Basketball, available in a variety of formats:
Monday Link Up
Monday Link Up is a social based program that offers a range of centre and community based recreational activities for people aged 25-65 living with a physical, intellectual or sensory disability.
The program provides opportunities to enhance social skills & develop new friendships. Participants play a significant role in developing their own activity schedule which often incorporates arts and crafts, picnics/luncheons, shopping, movies, bingo, trivia and beauty therapy sessions.

Monday Link Up It is a minimal support program for people aged 25-65 with a physical, intellectual or sensory disability living within the local LGA.
MDS does not offer transportation to or from this program. MDS staff members can offer support by way of referral to transportation services.
The fee to participate is $5 per day.
Monday Link Up runs from 10.30am-1.30pm and the venue varies weekly.

Macarthur Dolphins
Macarthur Dolphins is a swimming program for adults with disabilities and is open to people aged from 18-80 who live in the Campbelltown area.
Macarthur Dolphins is designed to maintain mobility and health through a gentle exercise program, and provides opportunities for relaxation and social interaction. Macarthur Dolphins has qualified staff there to assist participants to reach individual goals and to increase their strength and flexibility to improve their general wellbeing.
All are invited to sit at the café afterwards for a meal or drink to interact with others who are also in the program. Transport is only offered on Wednesdays by an external service. An assessment is conducted by the external service to determine eligibility to receive the transport service.
The program operates every Wednesday and Thursday for one hour at Eaglevale, with a $3 for pool entry or $8 for accessing the pool and bus service.

Trendy Dudes
Trendy Dudes is a social based peer support program that offers a range of centre and community based recreational activities for young people with a disability.
Children and young people aged 7-17 with a mild to moderate disability will have the opportunity to enhance their social skills and develop new friendships.
They must require minimal behavioural support and/or personal care and reside in the Macarthur Area.
The age group for Trendy Dudes Junior is 7-12 years, while Trendy Dudes Senior is 13-17 years, to ensure age appropriate activities and compatibility of interests.

Trendy Dude charges a $5 daily attendance fee per person.
Trendy Dudes Junior runs every Saturday from 10am-1pm during school terms, and Trendy Dudes Senior runs every Thursday from 5-8pm during school terms.
