Flexible Respite provides planned, short-term and time limited breaks for families and unpaid carers of children, young people and adults with a disability.
PIR coordinates the care required by people with severe and persistent mental illness with complex needs. A PIR Facilitator will help you identify the services and support that will help improve your care and recovery then work with you to access these. Particular areas of focus are physical health, employment, accommodation, drug and alcohol problems, daily living and making friends.
The personal helpers and mentors program is for people aged 16 years and over whose lives are impacted by mental illness. PHaMs workers mentor participants to help them achieve their personal goals, develop better relationships with family and friends and manage their everyday tasks.
Referring services that are available in the Macarthur and Wingecarribee areas to people with a disability. people who are frail aged, carers and families.
We can support you to get services that you need when you are in a situation of crisis like being homeless or about to become homeless and when you are being neglected or abused financially, emotionally or physically. We can help you:
- Make a complaint
- Write a letter of concern about something that you are not happy with
- Contact another service for assistance
The Macarthur Resource Centre is available for hire and provides the technology and resources to assist you in accessing information, advocates and lobbies to ensure you receive appropriate services after careful consultation and recognition of your needs.
