	General Manager Anne Thorn has been excited by the new relationships Macarthur Disability Services has developed in 2007 and the opportunity these offer for 2008. “It was a great year for improving our corporate image and making new partnerships within the Macarthur. These partnerships will continue to grow and I thank all our many sponsors including Telstra for the outstanding support they have given our community.” MDS thanked Telstra for its ongoing support and major sponsorship of Get Active Macarthur 2007 and for purchasing two basketball wheelchairs for the Jamm & Slamm Perpetual Corporate Wheelchair Basketball Challenge. 	According to MDS Marketing & Events Telstra was committed to more than just a financial involvement with the organisation. “For Get Active Commercial Business Specialist Leyarne Riley hand packed hundreds of special show bags filled with goodies to give to kids on the day and Team Telstra worked tirelessly helping us set up. They threw themselves into everything and really got involved with clients and service participants! We were also very happy when Dale organised all the staff to join us in celebrating our 25th Anniversary at Gledswood Homestead & Winery with AMORE. It was there that we unveiled Telstra’s further commitment to MDS with the purchase of the two basketball wheelchairs. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have been a wonderful sponsor for many reasons, not to mention they sorted out a better deal for our phone bills at head office too!” MDS is proud to salute our first sponsor of the month Dale McRae and TEAM TELSTRA, and we look forward to introducing you to more Friends of MDS over the coming months.
