The Translation Project aims to improve access to Home and Community Care (HACC) services for people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and funded by the department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care through the HACC program.
Funding can be used to pay for the cost of translating HACC service documents and brochures into other languages that will improve access to HACC services to CALD communities.
Some examples include:
The funding is for HACC funded services operating in the Wingecarribee, Macarthur and South West Sydney areas. The project will not fund translations that advertise projects not funded through HACC, nor can it be used for layout, typesetting and printing costs.
How can I apply?
To apply, organisations must complete the one page expression of interest form and attach a quotation and the English version of what requires translating.
Applications are accepted twice a year through an expression of interest process and are determined by an advisory panel comprised of the Multicultural Access Project (MAP) worker, HACC Development Officers and the HACC Training Coordinator.
