Transition To Work
Transition to Work is a time-limited program which aims to support and improve employment outcomes for school leavers who can transition to work within one or two years. The program assists school leavers with a disability to develop skills that will help them move into employment, vocational education and training or higher education.
Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Transition to Work a person must meet all the following criteria and must be:

  • a school leaver in Year 12;
  • a person with a disability with moderate to high support needs who has the capacity to work as assessed through the process determined by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC);
  • aged 18 years or over in the first year of participating in the Program;
  • a permanent resident of New South Wales;
  • a person who wishes to participate in a program that will support his or her future work or study goals; and
  • a person who is not undertaking employment, vocational education and training, or higher education.
