MDS has been offering Employment Preparation programs in the Macarthur area for over 20 years. We have used this experience to tailor programs to meet the individual needs of each participant.

MDS offers all NDIS core Employment Preparation and SLES training components encompassing:

  • Travel training
  • Work experience opportunities, including industry site tours
  • Soft skills: (i.e. money handling, personal presentation, time management, problem solving)
  • Interpersonal skills: (i.e. communication, stress reliance, team work)
  • Job specific training: (i.e. hospitality, administration, retail, customer service, property and yard maintenance, resume preparation.)

In addition; MDS also recognises the importance of accredited training and have therefore designed a 6-month short course in Employability Skills.

We also understand the benefits of hands on training and put an additional emphasis on delivering exciting and adaptive training packages. This means extensive opportunities for hands on learning and real life experience within the community; therefore, you will not be spending a huge amount of time in a training room. It’s about practical learning and the opportunities this has to offer. We host a number of open days throughout the year, giving you an opportunity to experience our unique service delivery.
