Sector Support and Development (SSD) assists Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers in enhancing service quality and increasing capacity, particularly amidst ongoing Aged Care reforms. CHSP organisations offer entry-level support to seniors to help them maintain independence at home and optimise their well-being.

MDS SSD, alongside regional and national SSDs, offers CHSP staff and volunteers opportunities for professional development through training workshops, conferences, ageing forums, and regular e-news updates.

Furthermore, MDS SSD hosts occasional information sessions to aid community members in navigating the aged care system.

To view our upcoming CHSP training workshops or information sessions, please visit our Humanitix page.

Are you interested in supporting older community members by gifting your time, care and skills? Download the CHSP Volunteer Opportunities booklet to find roles available in Camden, Campbelltown, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee.

Sector Support and Development is funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care.
