Our Board of Directors

Geraldine is the CEO of a youth health not-for-profit charity working in the health promotion and drug and alcohol prevention space. Appointed to the MDS Board in 2018, Geraldine has a keen interest in service access, consumer rights and community participation.

Mark is an owner and director of Total Aerospace Solutions Pty Ltd. As a Principal Engineer he holds design authority with CASA. He is an Executive Committee member of the Aeromedical Society of Australasia and works with aeromedical providers across Australia and overseas. Mark has an interest in providing health services to remote and regional communities and improving understanding and outcomes in the area of mental health.

Bill is a former partner of Pricewaterhouse Coopers with experience in emerging businesses and the global mobility of Human Resources. Since retirement in 2007, Bill has served as a board member in the not for profit sector, specifically in the medical research of brain diseases.

Vanco was a teacher/lecturer, engineer and the manager of a research laboratory for 18 years. He also was a community member of the Guardianship Tribunal / Guardianship Division of NCAT for 6 years.

Daniel is a Registered Liquidator and Director of Jones Partners Insolvency & Business Recovery. He is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association. Daniel has an interest in providing opportunities for people with a disability.

A Director since May 2009. Audit Partner of Kelly + Partners. Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Director of Mater Dei Camden. Daniel provides financial audit and assurance services to a diverse range of businesses from large companies to the not-for-profit sector.

Caroline is a registered occupational therapist with over 20 years experience working in health and disability sectors in Australia, the UK and China. Her experience spans clinical practice in schools, community, family homes and hospitals working for large and small not for profit organisations and government agencies. Caroline completed a PhD in Health Sciences at The University of Sydney in 2018 focused on supporting autistic children’s sensory processing at school. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences at Western Sydney University and her research and teaching focuses on co-designed initiatives to improve the lives of people with disability and other vulnerabilities.

Justin is a qualified solicitor and is a partner of Marsdens Law Group with extensive experience in business and company law. Justin has an interest in providing opportunities, support and training for people with a disability.

With over 30 years business experience, 25 of those running a mid-sized IT company and more recently consulting back to technology companies around Profitability, Maturity and Merges & Acquisitions. Ryan now gets to live his passion by helping start-ups to established companies with ongoing strategic consulting and trying to better the (technology) industry he loves. Ryan has a long-term passion for working with NFP’s and providers engaging in disability support.

With over 30 years of experience in strategic, commercial, and operational people roles, Sharn brings deep expertise in human resources leadership and has guided HR strategy across both not-for-profit and commercial sectors, including aged care, disability, health, and retirement living. Known for her ability to align culture with performance, she is a trusted advisor to CEOs and Boards, with strengths in transformation, M&A, crisis management, and team building. Her hands-on approach fosters strong, engaged workplaces that deliver results. Passionate about the disability sector, she also brings lived experience, reinforcing her commitment to inclusive, purpose-driven organisations. Sharn is dedicated to supporting resilient NFPs and contributing to governance that drives meaningful impact.
